Some News Highlights from 2011
On Sunday 4th February we set up shop in Cassiobury Park and served bacon butties, burgers and hot tea and coffee to provide refreshments for the spectators and runners in this year’s Watford Half Marathon. Despite the windy conditions when we had to hold onto our hats, the gazebos and everything else that wasn’t nailed down, a good day was had by all!
We catered for Parmiters School ball again this year. The hall always looks beautiful and the sixth formers do a fantastic job serving the food. The menu this year was Melon Cocktail with Raspberry Coulis, Boeuf Bourguignon with Horseradish Mash and Seasonal Vegetables or Red Pepper and Puy Lentil Stack for the Vegetarians followed by Fresh Cream Profiteroles with Warm Chocolate Sauce. Yum!
We catered at our friends Clydesdale Bank again in October, with the guest speaker no other than Mike Catt! While enjoying a menu of Cajun Cracked Salmon with Lime Mayonnaise, Sage and Asparagus Chicken and our now famous Strawberry Shortcake Stack, Mike was quizzed on the very fresh topic of how England could win the Rugby World Cup again, amongst other questions. Best of all, he posed for a picture with us!
