Roundup of News from 2010
Some of the Highlights from 2010
In January 2010, we launched out new website, which served us well for five years.
We also catered for 650 John Lewis staff: we were proud to serve a bespoke menu of hot and cold canapés, and bowl food to the staff of John Lewis Distribution Centre in Stevenage. Hanson’s set up a temporary kitchen in the town’s night club, and by the time they had eaten the hot bacon rolls at midnight, they were well fed and watered!!
New! Hash browns, onion rings and other goodies for our Hatch customers! And at the Wedding Fayre at Garston Manor on Sunday 17th January, we handed out free samples, as well as our new colour brochure.
In March, the Mayor of Watford hosted the prestigious Watford Audentior Awards and for the fifth year running and Hanson Catering fed her 350 guests.
We launched our monthly newsletter on 1st April 2010. Thank you to all of you who provided feedback and don’t forget to send us your culinary queries – we are more than happy to help!
In August, we catered for the 75th anniversary West Herts Rugby Ball held at the beautiful location of Walkern Hall near Stevenage. The rain held off thank goodness and a great evening was had by all! The menu was Caesar Salad to start, followed by Cumberland Chicken with New Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables and, afterwards, Summer Berry Pudding, Cheese Board then Tea and Coffee served with Chocolate Mints.
We attended the Wedding Fayre at Buckettsland Farm in September. Despite the rotten weather on the Sunday, we met a number of prospective new clients who were thinking of having a wedding at the farm or another venue. Thank you to all of you who braved the rain it was a pleasure to meet you.
We ventured into pastures new as we were asked to cater for the Brent Council Staff Awards in Wembley in December. Just our luck – it was snowing again but we managed to get our vans and staff up the M1 and catered for 368 guests.
Our final news of the year… You may have noticed that our fleet of vans have all been re-branded with our new logo. Most of our signage and stationary will be completed by the end of the week and uniforms are next on the list. We are so happy with our new modern look, bringing our brand up to date while maintaining our precious reputation in and around Watford.
