News: Summer 2014
June / July / August News
June
There were mixed fortunes for our clients with the changeable weather! A picnic we catered for would have been nicer with less rain and more sunshine. We also catered for 40th birthday and 70th birthday celebrations.
Highlights this month: Hansons were heavily involved in two charitable events – the Abbots Langley Scout Festival and the Pinner Park School Fair. We also catered for a lovely wedding at the beautiful venue of Chenies Manor.
Next week we are off to Ivinghoe where we are catering for their annual village ball for nearly 300 guests, a traditional black-tie ‘do’ held for more than 20 years as part of a festival weekend.
July
Both Directors have had a lovely rest in Turkey and are back now to cover our busy schedule for the continuing wedding season. We are already quoting to cater for next year’s Wedding celebrations.
In the office, we have installed new PCs and are just about to upgrade our accounts system too, to be more environmentally friendly – paperless!
Last Saturday, we catered for 250 guests at the Tabard Rugby Ball in Radlett. This Saturday sees us a little further away from home at a beautiful school in Hampton Court. The bride and groom were guests at the lovely ‘winter wonderland’ wedding where we were catering for Alex and Anabel, a couple of years ago (who incidentally have a lovely baby girl now), and have asked us to cater for them – how could we refuse?
& finally, Sarah has started training again for her Tough Mudder challenge in August!
August
Amongst our many catering events this month, we were at a number of weddings and a silver anniversary celebrating 25 years of marriage (see photographs on our Facebook Page or Twitter Timeline).
Additionally, we catered for a Hog Roast at Loudwater Farm and a barbecue in Ealing. Following a Church service, guests ventured outside for photographs while we transformed the interior into a dining space, serving an array of traditional sizzling sausages, lamb and pepper kebabs, steak medallions, ‘yummy flavoured’ chicken, salmon kebabs and accompaniments.
And Sarah managed to fit in a short break, too!
