News Roundup from Autumn 2013
Highlights from Autumn 2013
We were delighted to be chosen as caterers for the first wedding reception to be held in the boardrooms at The Wembley Drum at the shiny new Brent Civic Centre this summer and we will also be catering for the annual staff awards that will be held there.
This month, we also catered for an unusual retirement party in the Watford shopping centre when Mike, the centre’s manager, retired. We did the canapés, buffet and bar. It was a fantastic ‘do’ – we posted a photo to our FaceBook page.
We also have a huge number of tastings booked for next year’s weddings so things are looking good! Have you seen our testimonials?
Finally, for this month’s news, Paul had such a great holiday in Gambia last year that he has booked again, to escape the potential pre-Christmas gloom of late Autumn in England. It will be a well-deserved reward after a busy summer of catering for weddings, barbecues and parties.
Soup is back on The Hatch! As the weather was well and truly autumnal, we re-introduced a lovely warming favourite to our take-away service at The Hatch, from 9am ’til 2pm on weekdays. The Hatch is popular with local workers in the area, from different business sites and the people at Wenta. If you haven’t tried us yet, come on down!
In other news, we had lots of Christmas bookings and also a number of Weddings lined up for 2014 so it’s all looking good. Paul has taken a trip to Turkey.
Hanson’s are excitedly looking forward to catering for Brent council Staff awards for the fourth year in a row. This year’s award was held at the lovely new Brent/Wembley Civic Centre.
Christmas events bookings were coming in quickly. We also completed several tastings sessions for 2014 weddings and our Soups at the Hatch were very popular – let us know your favourite flavours and we’ll see what we can do to include them.
Hanson’s supported a Quiz Night in aid of the Lynda Jackson Head and Neck Cancer Support Group. We provided a hot meal at cost which volunteers helped to serve. A resounding success, over £1,500 was raised in one evening. Ian was delighted to be on a team that didn’t come last and to celebrate, he is rewarding himself with a much deserved trip to Egypt.
And finally… Paul is off to Gambia (again) next week. We can’t think why he wants a break from our lovely British autumnal climate!!
